Simba Safari Camp in Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best budget lodging facilities. Located 2 km from the Equator crossing, Simba Safari Camp is set along the Queen Elizabeth National Park border area over viewing Lake Kikorongo at the park’s edge.

At Simba Camp, guests enjoy the sweeping savanna plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park and its abundant wildlife, plus the Kazinga Channel, and Lake George. Its rooms come with balconies open to allow you to enjoy the surrounding environment.

Simba Safari Camp was officially opened in December 2008 and comes with 70 beds accommodating. This budget facility offers different room types such as standard double rooms, family bungalows, mixed dormitory rooms, standard triple, and a standard twin rooms. Guests also enjoy a variety of meals and drinks provided in the restaurant or grab a drink in the nearby bar and sitting area.

Standard double room facilities include safes, a table, Wi-Fi area, a mosquito net, sockets for charging your camera, shower, etc. The mixed dormitory room facilities include a table, Wi-Fi, shared entrance, Wi-Fi, a sitting room, room facilities, cleaning products, a toilet, slippers, mosquito nets, and more.

Standard triple room facilities include a mosquito net, shared bathroom, table, Wi-Fi, sitting area, socket close to the bed, private entrance, shower, and others. The safari camp’s rooms come with a veranda where guests can enjoy stunning views of the park and other surroundings.

Other services and facilities include 24-hour front desk, security alarm, 24-hour security, fires extinguisher, shared lounge/TV area, refrigerators and luggage storage. This safari camp has one of the best restaurants offering delicious meals at pocket-friendly rates. It offers full-board, and local and international drinks served at the bar.

Guests who spend a night at Simba Safari Camp have many activities to engage in at Queen Elizabeth National Park. These include forest walks in Maramagambo Forest, Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, Boat tours along the Kazinga channel, game viewing/game drive in Kasenyi/Ishasha sector, birding, nature walks, hot air balloon tours, lion tracking and many others.

Simba Safari Camp is found in Western Uganda near Queen Elizabeth National Park and takes visitors 7-8 hours to get there. Or arrange a flight which sets off from Entebbe Airport/Kajjansi airfield to Kasese or Mweya airstrip. From the airstrip, you can be transferred to Simba Safari Camp in a 4×4 safari vehicle where relaxation will be had as you wait to start the next day’s activities.
