Very early in the morning have breakfast at the lodge and at around 7:30am local time, your driver / tour guide will pick you’re from the lodge and the transfer to the southwestern part of the country to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

You will have an en-route stop in Mbarara town for lunch at the famous Igongo Culture center and from here you will proceed with the journey through the district of Rukungiri passing cultivated farms, villages, hills before you reach in Buhoma Bwindi. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at; Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge / Rushaga Gorilla Camp / Four Gorilla Lodge.

The day of trekking mountain gorillas in the jungle. At around 7:30 am local time you will be the headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. With your trekking gears and packed lunch for a short briefing from the park ranger and at around 8:30am you will enter the forest and start the trek, the time taken while tracking for these animals is unpredictable because it depends on where they spent the last night and it may vary from 3 – 8 hours.

After finding mountain gorillas, you will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour to stay with these interesting amazing animals as you take photos, observing and watching them as they do their day to day activities.

After you will return to the park headquarters and you will be rewarded with gorilla trekking certificate and then transfer to your lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight.

On this day, you will enjoy breakfast and then pack up and transfer back to Kampala, with en-route stop in Mbarara town for lunch and the continue, after Masaka Town you will also have a stop over at the equator for tea/coffee break and even buy some souvenirs. Then after you will continue with your journey back to Kampala. Drop off will be at your residence, at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
