Ihamba Lakeside Lodge: Experience tranquility by the lakeside and big game Uganda Wildlife safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s sweeping savanna plains while at Ihamba. Found in Kahendero Kasese town, Ihamba Lakeside Lodge is one of the lodges located near Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda. Its strategic location makes it an ideal spot to start your Uganda safari in the park to explore its abundant wildlife, birds, and more.

Ihamba Lakeside Lodge is tucked away in Western Uganda on Lake George’s shores of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Its geographical location offers spectacular views of the Lake and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges. It is a perfect spot to experience authentic African experiences.

Ihamba Lakeside Lodge consists of 7 African-styled cottages. These cottages are equipped with en-suite facilities, a wardrobe, and king-sized and Queen-sized beds. There is also ample parking, gardens in the compound, Wi-Fi internet, a swimming pool, a mosquito net in the room, a sofa, a shower, family rooms, a seating area, clothe’s rack, and more.

At Ihamba Lakeside Lodge, guests enjoy a combination of safari experience, Lake and relaxation in the wilderness of Queen Elizabeth national Park. It is positioned in an area where abundant wildlife can be viewed including elephants, hippos, lions, buffaloes, and over 620 bird species live in the park with the majority spotted while on a birding tour.

The activities to do – game drive along Kasenyi plains or cross to Ishasha sector where you can watch the tree climbing lions; lion trekking, mongoose tracking, birding, boat or launch trip on Kazinga channel, nature walk, chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest, etc.

Ihamba Lakeside Lodge is found in Western Uganda and to get there, takes 7-8 hours’ drive starting from Kampala. From Kampala, you can take the Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal-Kasese route or the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route. By air, flights leave from EBB or Kajjansi airfield to Mweya airstrip/Kasese airstrip and you can be transferred to Ihamba Lakeside Lodge using a rental car.
